Q: What will you fund?

Listed on our website are activities that the Foundation will and will not fund. Applications are invited from eligible organisations whose work is aligned with our aims and objectives i.e. violence against young people, women and girls and victims of crime.


Q: Will you consider applications from social enterprises/CICs and community groups?

Yes


Q: Will you accept applications by post?

No. We will only consider applications submitted via our online application form.


Q: Will you give grants for more than one year?

We will only fund, for more than one year, those organisations who have previously been supported and have followed the Foundation’s funding guidelines.


Q: Are there deadlines for applications?

No. Grant applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year.

If you are applying for a project which has a firm start date, please ensure you submit the application at least four months before the project is due to begin.


Q: What happens if our application is successful?

You will receive an email confirming this and explaining the next steps.


Q: How will we receive the Grant?

Grants are paid in 2 instalments over 12 months. We will require a written report after the first 6 months and at the end of the contract.

The grant must be spent within a 12-month period.


Q: Can we request feedback if our application is turned down?

Regretfully, due to the small size of our team, we are unable to offer any feedback to unsuccessful applicants.


Q: Will we have to sign a contract to receive a grant?

Yes. All grants are subject to our standard Terms & Conditions, which require you to confirm acceptance when you send your bank details. Any further conditions will be contained in your grant award email.


Q: Will we be informed of our application’s progress?

We will acknowledge your application, but you may not hear from us again until the outcome has been determined.


Q: What is the usual timetable for decisions?

Your application will be assessed at the next scheduled Foundation Board meeting. Under normal circumstances, you can expect to receive an outcome within 2-3 months of submission.


Q: Unsuccessful Applications?

If your application is unsuccessful, please wait one year before re-applying from the date of your last application.

Changes to our services: Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball Foundation reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify our terms and conditions at any time. If we make changes which may affect your grant, we will let you know by email before the changes take effect. We will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any changes.
